Manager’s Log – Sunday 8th September

Score lines are such a passé way to discuss football…

Hackney WFC Reserves welcomed K.I.K.K Talang to their home, Hackney Marshes for the opening game of the season. K.I.K.K were well organised, quick as well as experienced and this was seen throughout the game, and the score line. However, what did we learn about ourselves? When old players come out of retirement to play for us. We as a club must have left an impression. The saying you never leave Hackney comes to mind. Experience players trying to encourage, play well and show leadership not to mention our wicked newbies putting themselves out there. It’s SCARY newbies, I know but if you don’t try you don’t get. The title above I owe to Charlotte, which was taken Facebook when describing the game, says it all really!
