Founded in 1986, Hackney Women’s Football Club is one of London’s longest-running and most inclusive women’s football teams. We're a non-profit club dedicated to making Hackney women's football more accessible for all women and non-binary players across London.
We train every Thursday evening and hit the pitch for matches every Sunday — always bringing energy, teamwork, and a lot of Hackney spirit. Off the field, we keep the vibes going with regular socials, because football is more than a game — it's a community. If you're looking for women's football in Hackney, London, you've found the right club.
HWFC is proudly gay and trans inclusive — everyone is welcome, both on and off the pitch!

Our first and second teams are for experienced players ready to compete in 11-a-side football. We play in Tiers 6 and 7 of the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League, with our home ground at Walthamstow.
We offer proper coaching, structured training sessions, and a competitive environment where you can push your game to the next level!
We’re actively recruiting experienced players so come and join us!
We have a recreational team that welcomes players of beginners level. Whether you've never touched a ball before or are looking to get back into the game, our recreational team is the perfect place to start.
As well as Thursday training and regular socials, we play Beginner 5-a-side matches on Tuesdays in Forest Gate and Intermediate 7-a-side matches on Saturdays in Islington.
